Senior Interior Designer

Position Overview:

The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for leading and managing the design process for interior projects from concept through completion. This role involves collaborating with clients, managing teams, overseeing design development, ensuring design excellence, and coordinating with consultants and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage interior design projects across various sectors (residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, etc.).
• Develop creative and functional design concepts based on client needs, project goals, and brand identity.
• Oversee the preparation of design presentations, space planning, material selection, and construction documents.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Present ideas and proposals to clients and stakeholders; incorporate feedback into design revisions.
• Supervise junior designers and ensure quality control throughout the design process.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, technologies, and building codes.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design intent is maintained.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering tools.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, lighting, and color theory.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced design studio or firm environment.
• Occasional travel for client meetings and site inspections.
• Hybrid or in-office role depending on company policy.
