Job Description

An Estate Manager with Legal Compliance and Liaison responsibilities oversees the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a property, ensuring legal adherence and acting as a point of contact for various stakeholders. This includes managing staff, budgets, and schedules, while also handling legal documentation, permits, and relationships with government agencies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Management:

  • Supervising and managing all aspects of the estate, including maintenance, landscaping, housekeeping, and security.
  • Coordinating repairs, renovations, and upgrades, ensuring they are completed efficiently and within budget.
  • Managing household staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Overseeing budgets, expenses, and inventory management.


  • Legal Compliance:

  • Ensuring the estate and its operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to, property law, labor law, and environmental regulations.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and leases.
  • Handling land acquisition matters, title verification, and due diligence processes.
  • Managing litigation and coordinating with external legal counsel.
  • Monitoring and managing compliance timelines and proactively addressing regulatory changes.


  • Liaison:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with government departments, such as Urban Development, Municipal Corporations, and Pollution Control Boards.
  • Obtaining necessary permits, approvals, and licenses for land use, construction, and other activities.
  • Facilitating communication and coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all external parties related to the estate.


  • Other Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Preparing regular reports on estate operations, budgets, and compliance matters.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with the estate.
  • Providing expert advice on legal and compliance matters to the property owner.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business management, real estate, law).
  • Proven experience in estate management, property management, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to real estate and property management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in liaising with government agencies and other external stakeholders.
  • A detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
