Quality Assurance Engineer

Our platform streamlines immigration workflows, leverages AI to reduce friction, and creates a user-friendly experience for attorneys, companies, and individuals navigating complex processes. As we scale toward our next major release, we’re looking for a detail-driven QA Engineer to own quality across the entire platform—from API infrastructure and case management workflows to LLM integrations and compliance tooling.

As a QA Engineer, you’ll become the voice of quality across engineering and product teams. You’ll test highly asynchronous systems powered by NestJS and LangChain, ensure user-facing workflows perform with precision, and shape automation strategies that scale with our ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute robust manual and automated test plans across backend and frontend workflows
• Test LLM-driven experiences (e.g., form automation, document analysis) for reliability, performance, and output quality
• Validate complex API integrations with systems like USCIS, Supabase, Pinecone, and internal microservices
• Ensure UI functionality, responsiveness, and accessibility across devices
• Implement and evolve testing frameworks using tools like Cypress, Postman, and Playwright
• Own regression, integration, and exploratory testing across major platform features like petition workflows, team dashboards, and client communications
• Collaborate with engineers to define edge cases, identify early bugs, and monitor release readiness
• Track issues using Linear and maintain documentation for QA scenarios and release checklists
• Contribute to our automation and CI/CD strategies for consistent test coverage during deployments
• Advocate for usability, performance, and end-user empathy in every test you run

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in QA for SaaS or platform products
• Proven success testing modern web apps and REST APIs (knowledge of NestJS, Next.js is a plus)
• Experience with test frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or Selenium
• Familiarity with LLM/AI-powered products or vector-based search platforms like Pinecone
• Experience testing across both frontend (web) and backend workflows, including API contracts
• Working knowledge of cloud environments and staging-to-prod release cycles
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test documentation in tools like Linear, Notion, or TestRail

Bonus Points

• Exposure to Supabase/PostgreSQL or similar relational DBs
• Experience testing LLM outputs or fine-tuned workflows
• Experience in legal tech, fintech, or regulated domains (immigration workflows a big plus)
• Understanding of test coverage in CI pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar
• Familiarity with compliance-sensitive testing and accessibility (e.g., WCAG)
