Purchase Executive

Job Title: Purchase Executive Location: Bengaluru Department: Procurement & Supply Chain Job Summary: The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring high-quality lighting components and finished products. This role requires a deep understanding of the lighting industry, including LED technology, decorative lighting trends, and supplier networks. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities:  Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong supplier relationships, particularly within India’s lighting industry.  Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement purchasing plans to optimize costs and ensure timely availability of materials.  Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure the best deals.  Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory.  Market Research: Stay updated on lighting trends, new technologies, and emerging suppliers in India.  Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier agreements.  Process Execution: Handle the day-to-day procurement activities and issue purchase orders (PO) as per the Purchase Manager's instructions Qualifications & Experience:  Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, BA, or a related field.  3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the lighting industry.  Strong knowledge of LED technology, decorative lighting, and supplier networks.  Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.  Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Industry Experience in Lighting: India’s lighting industry is rapidly evolving, with advancements in LED technology, smart lighting solutions, and energy-efficient designs. A Purchase Executive in this sector must understand the nuances of sourcing high-quality components, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Familiarity with global sourcing, particularly from markets like China, India, and Europe, is highly beneficial. Additionally, knowledge of import-export regulations, vendor development, and cost saving strategies will be valuable in optimizing procurement operations.
