Project Context (Himachal Pradesh Education Initiative)

This initiative aims to support the state’s school education ecosystem through capacity-building, values-based education, and environmentally conscious learning. It involves coordination with district-level institutions, school visits, community engagement, and training of teachers, school management committees, and education functionaries. The project will be implemented across selected districts in Himachal Pradesh in partnership with the key state level stakeholders.

Role Summary

Project Coordinator (Field) will be deployed at the zonal level and will serve as the local anchor for implementing and coordinating project activities. They will support school engagement, facilitate workshops, liaise with government stakeholders, and assist in data collection, documentation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support field-level implementation across assigned districts
• Facilitate school visits, conduct observations, and collect structured data
• Engage with government primary/secondary schools, DIETs, and CRC/BRC officials
• Support planning and execution of capacity-building workshops
• Document case studies, success stories, and field insights in coordination with the central team
• Provide logistical and operational support for events and trainings
• Ensure timely reporting and communication of field updates

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or allied fields
• 1-3 years of field experience in education sector programs
• Prior experience of working in Himachal Pradesh is

  essential

• Experience with DIETs, government schools, or public education programs in the state is desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
• Proficient in English / Hindi and comfortable with field travel and rural contexts

Deployment Plan

• Project Coordinator (Field) will be positioned at zonal hubs (Shimla, Kangra, Mandi), with travel to districts as required. Their deployment will be aligned with the project’s activity timeline and field-level engagement requirements
