Job Title: Branch Manager – Courier & Logistics Services

Location: Whitefield Bengaluru
Reports To: Regional Manager / Operations Head
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Branch Manager to lead and manage the daily operations of our courier and logistics branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch performance, including operations, customer service, staff supervision, sales, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities: Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations including pickups, deliveries, dispatch, route planning, and fleet management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate handling and dispatch of courier and freight shipments.
  • Monitor branch KPIs such as delivery timelines, cost efficiency, and service quality.
  • Maintain compliance with company SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and safety standards.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and problem resolution.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to support retention and sales growth.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise, train, and motivate branch staff including delivery personnel, operations staff, and customer service representatives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure staff adhere to policies and goals.
  • Schedule and manage manpower effectively to meet operational demands.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue local business opportunities to grow the branch’s customer base.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to develop effective local strategies.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on branch performance, expenses, and service metrics.
  • Manage branch budgets and ensure cost control.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for shipments, inventory, and operational activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics/courier operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of courier, freight, warehousing, and last-mile delivery operations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in logistics software, route planning tools, and MS Office.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in B2B and e-commerce logistics.
  • Knowledge of local geography and regulatory requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license (if relevant to the location/role).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
