Plant 3D Modeller

with 7 to 12 years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or Petrochemicals sector. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Autodesk Plant 3D software and a strong background in mechanical and piping design, with hands-on experience in developing 3D models, piping layouts, and isometric drawings. Your role will be critical in supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering high-quality, clash-free models for large-scale industrial projects.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop intelligent 3D models using Autodesk Plant 3D based on P&IDs, equipment layouts, and piping design requirements.
  • Generate piping layouts, isometric drawings, GA (General Arrangement) drawings, and support details with accuracy and alignment to project standards.
  • Interpret and work with P&IDs, piping specifications, vendor data, and other technical documents to produce design deliverables.
  • Ensure models are clash-free through coordination with other discipline models (civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation).
  • Apply industry and client-specific standards and codes during design and modelling.
  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, and piping engineers to resolve design issues and ensure constructability.
  • Maintain revision control and document management processes as per project requirements.
  • Participate in model reviews and incorporate feedback to ensure final design compliance.
  • Support in creating and maintaining project databases within Plant 3D and other integrated design tools.
  • Mentor junior designers or drafters as needed and ensure quality control of design output.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
  • Minimum 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, or Chemicals industries.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Plant 3D, including project setup, equipment modeling, piping routing, and isometric generation.
  • Solid understanding of piping materials, supports, and codes (ASME, ANSI, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, and familiarity with tools like Navisworks, SmartPlant 3D, or similar will be a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping specifications, and vendor drawings accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in brownfield and greenfield projects is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment under tight project deadlines
