Key Responsibilities

Planning & Forecasting

• Develop seasonal and monthly merchandise plans using historical data, trends, and business strategy.
• Create and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) to balance stock investment with planned sales.
• Forecast demand across product categories, stores, and channels.

Assortment & Range Planning

• Work with buyers to build balanced assortments by category, style, price, and region.
• Ensure product offering aligns with customer preferences, fashion trends, and business goals.

Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory health, track sell-through rates, and identify stock-outs or overstock.
• Recommend markdowns, reorders, and stock transfers to optimize sales and profitability.
• Plan and track replenishments to maintain target in-stock levels.

In-Season Performance

• Analyze weekly/monthly trade reports; identify opportunities to chase bestsellers and mitigate underperformers.
• Adjust plans in response to sales trends, promotional activity, and market shifts.

Reporting & Insights

• Produce detailed performance and KPI reports (e.g., sales, margin, stock cover, GMROI).
• Share actionable insights with senior management and founders to inform buying, allocation, and marketing strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with buying, marketing, supply chain, and visual merchandising teams.
• Align product availability with campaigns, new launches, and seasonal events.
  

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Fashion, or related field.
• [X]+ years’ experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, or retail analytics.
• Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and planning systems (JDA, Oracle, SAP).
• Solid understanding of retail KPIs and retail math (margin, sell-through, OTB, GMROI).
• Commercial acumen and market awareness.
• Effective communicator and team player; comfortable working cross-functionally.
• Adaptable and proactive; able to thrive in a dynamic retail environment.
