Mechanical Design Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

Key responsibilities are design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of material handling and lifting equipment

including transfer cars, conveyors, cranes and lifting equipment. The role encompasses a wide range of

activities, including conducting FEA, ensuring safety standards, optimizing performance, and developing

new technologies.

● Material Handling Equipment System Design & Development:

○ Developing conceptual designs and cost estimates for material handling systems including transfer

cars, conveyors, cranes and lifting equipment.

○ Creating CAD drawings and documentation for material handling systems.

○ Conducting FEA for the designed equipment.

○ Reviewing and approving mechanical system designs and installations.

○ Ensuring designs comply with relevant regulations and standards.

● Safety & Compliance:

○ Ensuring designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

○ Conducting safety inspections and ensuring equipment is in optimal condition.

○ Developing and implementing operational procedures to enhance safety.

○ Adhering to safety guidelines and procedures when performing maintenance and repairs.

● Collaboration & Communication:

○ Collaborating with customers, other engineers, maintenance staff, and project managers.

○ Providing technical guidance and support to other teams.

○ Communicating effectively with stakeholders regarding maintenance and operations.

● Project Management:

○ Developing project schedules and timelines for turnkey projects.

○ Managing resources effectively for maintenance and repair activities.

○ Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely completion.

● Documentation & Reporting:

○ Maintaining accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

○ Preparing technical reports and documentation related to material handling systems.
