The Role

We're seeking an experienced Marketing Assistant to join our team and take ownership of our comprehensive marketing operations. This role involves managing event marketing, content creation (such as brand blogs, client case studies and press releases) and supporting our multi-brand strategy across UK and US markets.

You'll be working closely with our PR and Branding Manager to streamline and automate marketing processes, manage events from setup to post-event follow-up, and create engaging content that drives our recruitment business forward.

You must be available for regular Microsoft Teams calls with our UK-based head office. To support this, you'll need fast and reliable internet, your own up-to-date laptop or desktop computer, and either a quiet, private workspace or a high-quality headset with microphone to ensure clear, uninterrupted communication.

This position is offered strictly on a subcontractor basis to reduce overhead costs, allowing us to offer a highly competitive rate of pay. During your agreed working hours, you are expected to remain available and contactable via Teams to enable fast, collaborative dialogue as needed.

You must have fluent in English with strong communications skill both written and oral.

Key Responsibilities

Event Marketing & Management:

• Set up events on Ticket Tailor, websites, and Zoom platforms

• Manage event calendars across all brands to avoid conflicts

• Coordinate event mailers and automated reminders

• Vet attendee lists and manage registrations

• Edit and upload event recordings to members' area and YouTube

• Create event-related blogs and social media snippets

Content Creation:

• Draft SEO-optimized blogs using tools like ChatGPT and SEranking

• Create case studies from recruiter-provided information

• Write press releases for distribution

• Develop marketing materials and copy for various campaigns

Automation & Process Management:

• Cross-check registrations with CRM systems (Bullhorn)

• Manage automated email marketing campaigns

Multi-Brand Coordination:

• Support marketing activities across 6 UK brands and 3 US brands

• Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials

• Coordinate with recruiters and speakers for events and content

Essential Requirements

• Fluent English (written and spoken)

• 4+ years of digital marketing experience

• Email marketing software experience (platforms like MailChimp, Constant Contact and Active Campaign)

• Event marketing experience

• CRM/automation tools familiarity

• UK working hours availability (7am-3pm UK time)

• Marketing degree or English degree preferred

• Video editing skills with practical experience

• Experience working with UK, US, Canadian and/or Australian clients

• Copywriting expertise - blogs, mailshots, press releases

• WordPress experience for website management

• Familiarity with Canva

• Available as subcontractor

Desirable Skills

• SEO knowledge and practical application

• Experience with automation tools, such as Make, N8N, Zapier, etc.

• Event management software, such as Eventbrite, TicketTailor, etc.

• Social media management

• Experience with recruitment industry preferred
