Linux Capability Lead

Location - Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad & Pune.

This position's primary responsibility will be to help HCL with strategy definition, value realization, implementation, and operations.

• To be responsible for the solution being implemented for a customer and its acceptance.
• To be responsible for understanding customer requirements and create Solutions and integrated architecture.
• To stay updated about industry trends and technology innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• At least 15 Years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 12 years of experience in Planning, installing, configuring, supporting, knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems running on Hybrid/Cloud DC environment.
• At least 2-3 years' experience in managing team of experts having UNIX/Linux skills.

Required Skills

• Candidate must have Experience on 2 or more technologies (including relevant clustering technologies) from following:
• Linux (RHEL, SUSE, UBUNTU etc.)
• HPUX
• Solaris
• AIX
• Work closely with other members of the IT team to identify and resolve issues related to availability or performance.
• Person should have a good knowledge on X86 hardware platforms (CISCO/DELL/HPE) Rack and Blade Servers.
• Strong knowledge on core services like LDAP, NTP, NFS, Storage and network.
• Must have experience in planning and execute upgrades, updates, patching and migrations.
• Monitor infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Good documentation skills.
• Skilled in using Automation tools to automate day0, day1 and day2 tasks.
• Good knowledge on ITSM/ITIL processes and data centre best practices.

• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel.
