Lead Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Java-based batch applications
• Automate deployment and configuration of cloud resources (compute, storage, networking) using Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Support deployments, logging, monitoring for batch job execution.
• Automate file transfers, alerting, and job success tracking.
• Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure smooth build, test, and release cycles.
• Document deployment processes and create runbooks for support teams.
• Translate COBOL batch logic into modular Java components.
• Develop cloud-ready microservices for EFT batch processing.
• Handle file-based input/output workflows using modern APIs or cloud storage.
• Collaborate with QA and mainframe SMEs to validate business logic.
• Integrate with databases and message queues (Kafka/SQS) as needed.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS/GCP Cloud DevOps (EC2, S3, Step Functions, CloudWatch)
• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform/CDK
• Docker, Bash scripting
• Knowledge of scheduling tools (Airflow, Control-M, or native cloud equivalents)
• Hands-on experience/Knowledge with cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Git, REST, JSON/XML
• experience in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, JPA/Hibernate

Nice to have:

• Experience supporting batch processing systems in finance or banking
• Understanding of EFT file formats (e.g., NACHA, ISO 20022)
• Exposure to legacy modernization projects or Java Spring Boot environments
