Land Manager

Looking for experience ranging from 4 - 8 yrs.

The Site Land Lead for Gujarat (GJ), will play a crucial role in securing land for renewable energy projects, focusing on both revenue land and private land acquisition. This position requires extensive experience in land acquisition within GJ states, a deep understanding of local land laws, and the ability to navigate complex negotiations with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will lead the land acquisition process, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and supporting the overall success of renewable energy projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Land Identification and Assessment

• Identify potential Govt & Privately owned land parcels suitable for Solar & Wind based Renewable energy projects in GJ.
• Conduct feasibility studies and due diligence on land plots to ensure they meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to determine land suitability for solar, wind, or other renewable energy installations.

Land Acquisition

• Negotiate with landowners and government agencies to secure land rights, leases, and permits for renewable energy projects.
• Manage multiple land developer, land acquisition agreements, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize land acquisition.

Regulatory compliance

• Ensure compliance with all local state regulations related to land acquisition, including the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF) guidelines.
• Conduct due diligence in collaboration with legal teams, ensuring all acquisitions are legally sound and risk-free.
• Oversee the preparation and review of legal documents, including MoUs, LoIs, agreements for sale, conveyance deeds, pathway agreements, Power of Attorney, lease deeds, and other relevant documents.

Stakeholder Engagement and

• Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, landowners, and community stakeholders.
• Address any concerns or objections related to land acquisition and project development, fostering positive community relations.
• Stay updated on local and national regulations governing land acquisition and renewable energy projects.
• Ensure all land-related activities adhere to legal requirements and permitting processes.

Project Support

• Provide land support to project teams during the development, construction, and operation phases.
• Collaborate with project managers to resolve any land-related issues and optimize land use.

Land Management

• Maintain detailed records of all land acquisition activities, including site evaluations and compliance documents.
• Monitor and manage land leases, renewals, and compliance, including lease payments and renewals.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the progress and status of land acquisition projects.
