Junior Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Level 1 NOC (Network Operations Center) Network Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate network and system-related issues as part of a 24x7 support environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor network infrastructure and systems using NOC monitoring tool SolarWinds.

Detect and respond to network incidents, outages, or degradation of services promptly.

Perform basic troubleshooting of LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.

Log and document all incidents and actions taken in the ticketing system ServiceNow.

Escalate incidents to L2/L3 teams as per SLA and escalation matrix.

Conduct initial triage and provide first-level support for network issues.

Assist in executing standard operating procedures and routine maintenance tasks.

Collaborate with internal teams and service providers to ensure timely issue resolution.

Maintain shift handover documentation and ensure knowledge transfer between shifts.

Document all actions taken and maintain detailed incident records.

Perform routine checks and health monitoring of network devices.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident handling and escalation.

Communicate incident status and updates with stakeholders during critical outages.

Work in 24x7 rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent certification preferred.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

0–2 years of experience in a NOC or network monitoring role.

Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and other network protocols.

Familiarity with enterprise networking hardware (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Ubiquiti, etc.).

Experience using network monitoring and ticketing tools.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotating shift environment.

Shift: Rotational (Day/Night/Weekend shifts)

On-call support may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,500.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
