Job Summary:

IT Hardware & Software Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware Support:

• Assemble, install, and configure desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Diagnose and repair hardware faults (RAM, hard drives, motherboards, power supply, etc.).
• Set up and maintain peripheral devices like printers, scanners, projectors, and biometric devices.
• Manage inventory and documentation of IT hardware.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all hardware equipment.
• Pan-India travel to client sites to resolve their issues.

Software Support:

• Install and configure operating systems (Windows etc.).
• Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications and utilities.
• Manage antivirus, security patches, and software licenses.
• Assist in user account setup, password resets, and basic software training.
• Troubleshoot common application errors, system crashes, or performance issues.

Networking & IT Support:

• Assist with basic network configuration and troubleshooting (LAN/Wi-Fi).
• Ensure systems are connected to domain or workgroup environments.
• Support email configuration and other enterprise applications.
• Monitor system performance and report issues to senior IT staff.

Requirements & Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT hardware and software support.
• Strong knowledge of computer assembly, OS installation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Linux, MS Office, and commonly used software.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Good analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently or in a team.
  

Working Conditions:

• On-site technical support role; may involve travel between office locations.
• Flexibility to work after-hours for critical maintenance or support.
• Physical effort may be required for moving or installing equipment.
