Hardware and Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Setup and manage LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Troubleshoot hardware and network issues across all departments and locations.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates of systems, servers, and security protocols.
• Ensure systems are secure, patched, and protected from internal and external threats.
• Monitor system performance, backup systems, and maintain IT asset inventory.
• Provide technical support and training to users across the organization.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for hardware procurement and issue resolution.
• Install and configure Windows/Linux operating systems, software, and antivirus.
• Ensure uptime of network and critical systems and proactively address potential failures.
• Assist with new user setup and onboarding (email, system access, etc.).
• Maintain documentation for all systems and IT procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in hardware and network support.
• Strong knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and IP configurations.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing desktops, laptops, and printers.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN architecture and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
• Experience in handling Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic Linux administration.
• Knowledge of network security tools and practices is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Certifications:

• CompTIA A+
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
• MCSA / MCSE
• Any other relevant hardware/network certification
