Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Implement features including:
  • Barcode scanning
  • POS confirmation screens
  • Offline caching and recovery
  • Didi Handheld screen flows
  • Embedded WebView for hybrid UI
  • Ensure smooth API integration with backend services using Retrofit/OkHttp.
  • Optimize app performance for low-end handheld devices.
  • Handle data sync, caching, and offline-first strategies in intermittent network conditions.
  • Collaborate with UI designers, backend developers, and QA for smooth delivery.
  • Conduct unit testing and assist in UAT and go-live support.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Android Native development using Kotlin and Java.
Experience with: Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java. Solid understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
Experience with Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.Knowledge of Android’s architecture components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation).Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries like Retrofit, Glide, etc.Familiarity with Git, Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.Understanding of MVVM/MVP architecture and dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Dagger/Hilt/Koin).Good understanding of Google Play Store submission process and mobile security best practices.Skills: android,hilt,glide,kotlin,koin,ui design principles,ci/cd pipelines,git,android sdk,ci,mvvm,json,mvp,restful apis,retrofit,gradle,dagger,java
