Parallel is a product strategy and design studio


We have been around 10 years but we feel our journey has just begun from a boutique studio that has built extensive knowledge capital and done some amazing work over the years towards being the market leader and synonymous with designing and shipping great products. We are looking for a Founder’s Office (Generalist role) who loves our craft, resonates with our ambitions, is entrepreneurial, and can support our founder in building Parallel.


Responsibilities

  • Actually, this role doesn’t come with a definition or a checklist of job responsibilities. As Founders’ Office, you will be expected to have a whatever-it-takes approach to help the team in some of the key business areas.
  • The role could be 80-20 split among operational vs strategic but with access to a lot of strategic initiatives, it will need someone to be exceptionally good at context switching, organising and getting things done.
  • Work closely with the Founder to facilitate and execute strategic initiatives, propelling company growth and development.
  • Assist the Founder in partnerships and business development initiatives including crafting proposals and presentations.
  • Conduct market and industry-specific research and provide actionable insights to drive strategic decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and optimization both internally & externally
  • Help in projects across areas including HR, Finance, Operations, Marketing
  • Pick up special projects that align with the key priorities of the company


Traits we are looking for:

  • Very high attention to detail (we are a design firm) and extremely good at planning & getting things done
  • Previous experience in intrapreneurial roles or handling multiple functional areas of building a company like business operations, including HR, Finance, and Hiring
  • Someone nimble enough to thrive in a fast-changing start-up environment yet be organized and detail-oriented to ensure nothing falls off the cracks.
  • Quick to pick up new skills if required to get the job done.
  • Passionate about building a business and digital products


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in anything and 4-8 years of experience after graduation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
