Position Description: Finance Manager – (Controllership – P2P) - Location:


Summary of Responsibilities

We are looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Finance Manager to lead our Controllership - Procure to Pay (P2P) function. This role sits at the core of our accounting and finance operations, overseeing P2P processes, financial controls, and reporting. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with hands-on experience in financial operations, particularly in high-volume, fast-paced environments.

This is a key controllership position, requiring strong collaboration with cross-functional teams—including Business, Finance, Tech, and Supply Chain—to drive process excellence, automation, compliance, and cost efficiency. Working knowledge of banking and treasury is desirable but not mandatory.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Major work responsibilities shall comprise of the below:

  • Lead and continuously improve the

    end-to-end Procure to Pay process

    , ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and control;
  • Strengthen vendor lifecycle management by driving

    vendor experience, dispute resolution, returns, and liquidation processes

    .
  • Develop and maintain robust

    internal controls, SOPs, and compliance frameworks

    for all P2P-related activities.
  • Collaborate with Tech and Ops teams on

    automation, fintech integrations, and process digitization

    .
  • Monitor and optimize working capital by managing vendor payments, prepayments, receivables, and

    cash flow planning

    .
  • Partner with the business on

    bill-to-cash cycle efficiency

    and provide timely insights through MIS and operational dashboards.
  • Lead

    balance sheet governance

    related to payables and vendor receivables; drive timely resolution of reconciling and aged items.
  • Ensure timely and accurate

    financial reporting, audit support, and month-end closures

    .
  • Drive expansion and performance of

    vendor financing programs

    .
  • Participate in the formulation and adherence to

    accounting policies

    across all P2P-related transactions.
  • Maintain a

    cost-conscious culture

    , ensuring spend accountability and operational efficiency.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)

    with 12–15 years of relevant controllership experience or MBA from T-1 with relevant experience in similar role.
  • Strong hands-on skills in accounting, financial operations, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of

    Oracle ERP

    preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the retail business. Prior experience in a complex retail organization.
  • Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
  • Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Customer focus and professional demeanor
