Job Description

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 1700000 - Rs 2500000 (ie INR 17-25 LPA)

Min Experience: 5 yearsLocation: Chennai, anywhere in tamilnaduJobType: full-time

Notice Period:

Immediate joiners or within 30 days preferred

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Requirements

Key Responsibilities & Skills

Core Competencies

Automation: Expertise in automating infrastructure using tools like CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform
CI/CD Pipelines: Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools for continuous integration and deployment
Monitoring & Observability: Familiar with tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana
API & Load Balancing: Understanding of REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, API Gateway, and load balancing techniques

Technical Requirements

Strong foundation in Linux OS and system concepts
Experience handling production issues and ensuring system reliability
Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Go, or Shell)
Familiarity with Docker, microservices architecture, and cloud-native tools like Kubernetes
Understanding of RDBMS/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Additional Skills

Awareness of security practices including OWASP, static code analysis, etc.
Familiarity with fintech security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC2) is a plus
AWS certifications are an added advantage
Knowledge of AWS data services like DMS, Glue, Athena, and Redshift is a bonus
Experience working in start-up environments and with distributed teams is desirable
