Backend Engineer – Scala & Akka

Role Overview

We are hiring for an experineced Backend Engineer - Scala & Akka .This role focuses on backend development using Scala and Akka for enterprise-grade systems. You'll be working on microservices, high-performance APIs, and real-time event processing engines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build microservices using Akka HTTP and Akka Streams
  • Design backend architecture and data processing flows
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs
  • Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability
  • Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and production deployments

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Scala and Akka ecosystem
  • REST API design and implementation
  • Experience with Akka Streams and reactive systems
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
  • Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes)

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of data pipelines and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT)

Soft Skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong debugging abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
