AVD& Application Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled AVD & Application Support Engineer who will be responsible for managing and supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, Windows Server infrastructure, and providing end-to-end application support for business-critical platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud-based virtual desktops, Microsoft server platforms, and troubleshooting application-level issues.

Key Responsibilities: Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD):

  • Design, deploy, and maintain AVD infrastructure including host pools, session hosts, and custom images.
  • Manage and troubleshoot FSLogix profiles, group policies, and user sessions.
  • Implement security, compliance, and performance optimizations in the AVD environment.

Windows Server:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022).
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user authentication.
  • Perform routine patching, backups, and server health monitoring.

Application Support:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for business applications (in-house and third-party).
  • Troubleshoot application issues related to performance, configuration, or integrations.
  • Work with development, infra, and vendor teams to resolve incidents and deploy updates.
  • Monitor logs, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and document incident resolutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Application Support roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows Server administration.
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, and networking basics.
  • Experience in application support (web-based or desktop), including issue tracking and resolution.
  • Good working knowledge of ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
