Assembler Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Assembler programs for critical system components and applications in a Mainframe environment.
• Write efficient, optimized code in Assembler language, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and hardware architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and implement solutions.
• Perform system-level debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure the stability and performance of Assembler-based applications.
• Work closely with architects and senior developers to design and implement new features or enhancements in alignment with business objectives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, system diagrams, and user guides.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe Assembler programming.
• Proficiency in Assembler language, including coding, debugging, and optimizing code for performance.
• Strong understanding of Mainframe architectures, system-level programming, and related technologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in debugging and troubleshooting.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of other Mainframe languages like COBOL, JCL, or CICS.
• Familiarity with IBM mainframe environments and related tools.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Certification in Mainframe Assembler programming or related fields.
