Application Engineer: Engine Systems

What You Will Do

You will help our customers get the most out of our software, GT-SUITE, and to leverage the knowledge learned from these interactions to continuously improve our software. This position is at our Pune office, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gamma Technologies LLC USA.

• Support customers on the simulation platform GT-SUITE in the application area of internal combustion engine systems, including modeling of combustion, gas exchange, flow management, acoustics and other associated sub-systems.
• Provide technical support during customer software evaluation projects.
• Contribute technical material to sales and marketing campaigns.
• Develop of customer tailored simulation methodologies using GT-SUITE.
• Expand the usage of GT-SUITE to new markets, applications, and systems.
• Contribute to development of the software by specification, validation, and testing of new features.
• Work with internal teams (local and international) to learn on the job.
• Interact with established and emerging companies through occasional training classes, conferences, and marketing events.
• Help market the role GT plays in helping automotive and other companies convert their powertrains to Net Zero Emissions, like hydrogen, ammonia, etc.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong technical expertise in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer. Comprehensive understanding of engine systems is highly desirable.
• Experience in 1D flow or system simulation using tools such as GT-SUITE/GT-POWER, Realis WAVE, AVL BOOST or AMEsim is highly desirable.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and convey technical concepts clearly.
