About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a skilled WordPress Developer who thrives on building custom themes and solutions from the ground up — not relying on page builders or templates.

If your experience lies in crafting fully functional, responsive, and performance-optimized WordPress websites using clean code, then this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Build fully custom WordPress themes from scratch (not using builders like Elementor, Divi, or Gutenberg)
Convert design mockups (Figma/PSD) into responsive WordPress themes
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript
Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or layout issues across devices
Collaborate with project managers and designers to deliver pixel-perfect results
Maintain strong documentation and version control practices (Git)

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of professional WordPress development experience
Strong understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
Proven experience in custom theme and plugin development
Experience with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), custom post types, and WordPress hooks
Comfortable working independently and meeting UK shift hours
Excellent communication skills — verbal and written
