Web Designer & Developer (Remote, Full-Time / Project-Based)

About Us:

Upscrape is a fast-growing data automation company building scalable scraping systems, automation tools, and API-driven services for clients across the globe.

We’re now looking for a Web Designer & Developer who can help us ship high-quality websites - fast. From portfolio pages to product dashboards to public-facing landing pages, we’re building things that need to look clean, feel fast, and communicate clearly.

Position Overview:

We’re hiring someone who can take a concept or layout idea and convert it into a polished, functional, responsive website - end to end.

You’ll work directly with the founder and backend devs on:

• Product websites
• API landing pages
• Portfolio/showcase sections
• Internal tools / frontend interfaces
• And a few new stealth projects

This is an execution-first role. You must be both design-aware and dev-competent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive websites and dashboards using modern frameworks
• Translate basic wireframes or references into live pages
• Maintain clean, organized code with version control
• Work closely with backend teams to consume APIs or embed functionality
• Optimize performance, layout, load time, and mobile UX

Required Skills:

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one modern frontend framework (React / Next.js)
• Comfortable using TailwindCSS or similar utility-first CSS libraries
• Strong eye for layout, hierarchy, spacing, and typography
• Experience converting Figma or mockups into working code
• Clean design sensibility - minimal, modern, sharp
• Basic Git knowledge and comfort with lightweight deploy flows (Netlify, Vercel, etc.)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Next.js, Framer Motion, or similar frontend animation tools
• Understanding of SEO and web performance best practices
• Familiarity with CMS integration or no-code platforms (like Webflow, if needed)
• Can design assets in Figma if needed
• Previous startup or solo freelance experience
