Testing Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Standard Compliance Testing Conduct safety and EMC testing of IT and consumer electronic products per IS 13252 (Part 1):2010 (IEC 60950/62368 equivalents). Follow procedures aligned with IEC 60065 , IEC 60598 , IEC 61643 , or other applicable IEC/IS standards. Validate product design, wiring, insulation, leakage current, hi-pot testing, earth continuity, etc. Test Execution Perform environmental, mechanical, and electrical tests as per NABL ISO/IEC 17025 protocols. Operate lab equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, insulation testers, environmental chambers, etc. Documentation and Reporting Prepare and maintain test reports, test data sheets, and calibration records. Ensure traceability of measurements as per NABL requirements. Assist in documentation for BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme). Internal Quality & Calibration Maintain internal quality control procedures and contribute to inter-lab comparison studies. Ensure timely calibration of instruments (internal and external) and maintain logs as per ISO/IEC 17025 . Liaison & Coordination Coordinate with product development teams and certification bodies (BIS, STQC, etc.). Assist during client audits, BIS inspections, and NABL assessments. Qualifications: Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering. Preferably trained in: IS 13252 (Part 1) / IEC 62368-1 / IEC 60950-1 ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratory management system NABL documentation and internal auditor training Technical Skills: Knowledge of product safety standards: IS 13252, IS 616, IEC 60598, IEC 60065, etc. Familiarity with: Hi-pot Testers Ground Continuity Testers Temperature/Humidity Chambers Leakage Current Meters Understanding of: EMC/EMI testing BIS CRS process and portal (managing MTCTE if applicable) Certifications (Preferred): NABL Internal Auditor Training BIS CRS Technical Training Safety Testing or EMC Training (from ETDC/ERTL/STQC) Standards Knowledge Required: Standard Description IS 13252 (Part 1):2010 Indian Standard for Safety of Information Technology Equipment (based on IEC 60950/62368) IS 616:2017 Safety requirements for audio, video and similar electronic apparatus (based on IEC 60065) ISO/IEC 17025:2017 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories IEC 62368-1 Audio/video, ICT equipment safety standard (newer replacement of IEC 60950 and IEC 60065) Soft Skills: Detail-oriented and methodical in documentation Team player with clear communication Time management and ability to prioritize test cycles Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month Benefits: Health insurance Schedule: Day shift Supplemental Pay: Performance bonus Work Location: In person Speak with the employer +91 9818110032
