Technical Manager - ITAV

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the IT/AV conformity assessment team comprising of Asst. Managers/Sr. Engr and Engineers and deliver the operational results for the business stream.
• Knowledge on Amazon Product Reliability and Performance testing on IT/AV Gadgets.
• Leads and supports staff to efficiently and effectively exceed the customer expectations for the services offered.
• Participates in standard development committees to represent Intertek and provides inputs to the technical points to support standards development.
• Delivering operational KPIs such as Meeting the promise dates committed to customers, turnaround time, NPS, quality etc.
• Be accountable for all the accreditations, audits both internal and external and prepare the team to address the requirements.
• Technically competent to address and interpret the standards to manage the expectations of the customers and the team.
• Ensure delivery of the technical services is consistent, and in compliance to all the accreditation and organization requirements.
• Lead the technical leadership amongst the industry and be the SPOC for the global team for the business stream assigned.
• Deliver the revenue and profit budgets.
• Visits customer places to discuss the technical aspects and support the sales team to win the deals.
• Works with sales team and engineering team to provide the cost estimation based on the testing and engineering time needed for products evaluation
• To perform all activities necessary to bring 10X growth in the IT/AV business segment.
• Need to have hands-on experience on handling the Product testing/ certification as per following standards:

• ISO/IEC 17025

• IEC/EN/UL 62368-1

• IEC/EN/UL 60950-1

• IEC/EN/UL 60065

• IEC/EN/UL 61010

• Hands on experience handling CB, CE and other global certification

• Ensure that all testing procedures and results adhere to relevant regulatory standards and industry certifications, such as UL, CSA, and ENERGY STAR, as applicable to home appliance products.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and third-party testing laboratories to coordinate testing activities and ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
• Familiarity with relevant testing standards and regulations (e.g., UL, IEC).

Relevant Experience:

Expertise at:

• Extensive experience with Information technology and Audio Video, UPS and Measuring & control equipment etc. Any exposure to Testing & Certification is added advantage like CB Certification and/or LTR Status.
• Highly conversant in Product standards applicable to various markets especially European and North American and the best practices.
• Testing and Certification of the products and documentation for the construction review, test results, BOM etc. as part of the certification document experience is essential.
• Familiarity with various tests applicable for the products and interpretation of the results as per the international standards is essential.
• Familiarity with the industry, user’s expectations and commercial understanding of the business will be an added advantage.
• High interpersonal skills, customer management, project management skills are essential.
• People management and team management skills are essential.
