About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented candidate, to drive Set top box related software QA manual testing and to raise issues during testing including responsibility of executing regression testing as per test check list i.e STB performance, functionality, security, and overall usability and will work closely with test lead/team (QC engineers/testers) to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner

Must Have Skills :

Key Responsibilities :

• Validate and test STB software as per check list manually.
• 3-5 years of experience and knowledge in QC/Testing of Set Top Box functionality
• Review and understand software requirements/ specifications to meet the customer intended purpose
• Understand system implementation, collaborate and work with test lead to be validated the solution/implementation
• Study & understand standard test use cases & scenarios
• Identify document the defects observed during Test execution with proper fail scenarios/ steps and fail count in percentage
• Verify the defects are fixed appropriately. Publish test results in pass/fail with data & comprehensive test reports regularly to test lead
• Perform thorough software regression & performance testing as per timeline
• Regularly communicate with test lead and update test status
• Maintain test environments and configurations across lab
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up to date with testing tools and test strategies

Technical Experience:

1. Complete knowledge and experience of all the testing features available in STB i.e architecture of the STB, EPG, OTT apps, VoD & recording/Player, CA backend. Interactive services & games
2. Knowledge of SD, HD/4K video and video/audio codecs (H.264, H.265, AAC, Dolby) and performance metrics (bitrate, latency, buffering).
3. Good understanding of the head-end setup
4. Knowledge of SATCR/LNB configurations, tuning & RF signal testing
5. Proficient with tools like JIRA

Educational Qualification:

Engineering graduate B.Tech/B.E in Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication
