Solar Pre-Sales & Design Engineer

About the Role:

Our client, a leading solar EPC firm in Australia, is looking to onboard a Pre-Sales Solar Design & Proposal Engineer

• Proposal Development:

  Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and tender submissions for commercial solar EPC projects.

• Preliminary System Design:

  Generate system layouts, SLDs, and performance simulations using tools such as Helioscope, PVsell, OpenSolar, etc.

• Financial Modeling:

  Perform LCOE analysis, ROI calculations, and payback assessments to support decision-making.

• Energy Consumption Analysis:

  Analyze utility bills, load curves, and consumption data to optimize system sizing.

• BOQ & Cost Estimation:

  Develop Bills of Quantities, CAPEX/OPEX estimates, and procurement plans.

• Cross-functional Coordination:

  Collaborate with sales, technical, and finance teams to align proposals with customer requirements.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  Ensure all designs adhere to Australian standards, including CEC and AS/NZS guidelines.

• Solid experience in

  C&I solar pre-sales and proposal development

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  financial feasibility

  and

  payback analysis

  for solar projects.
• Proficiency in

  solar design tools

  like Helioscope, PVsell, OpenSolar, PVsyst, AutoCAD, etc.
• Ability to prepare

  technical drawings

  , SLDs, and cost estimations.
• Exposure to

  EPC-level costing and BOQ generation

  .

• Familiarity with

  Australian solar regulations

  (CEC, AS/NZS 4777).
• Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design platforms.
• CEC accreditation (optional but preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy

  , or related fields.

• 3 to 5 years

  of relevant experience in C&I solar design and proposals.

• Work with a reputed Australian EPC player in the clean energy space.
