You will be responsible for taking the engineering capabilities to the next level in the API protectionAs a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Working as part of the core team on building Akamai SaaS platform, based on cutting edge technologies
• Building: designing, architecting, developing, testing, deploying and operating core components of our platform
• Developing tests, perform code reviews and work closely with QA team to ensure high quality code
  

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelors degree & 2+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable system
• Have deep understanding of application architectures: HTTP protocol, APIs, frameworks, proxies, gateways, service mesh,
• Have experience with one or more of the software stacks: Python, Go, Java, NodeJS
• Have experience in spring; Use of REST principles and patterns; Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases
• Have Experience and knowledge with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka
