Responsibilities

• Possesses sound knowledge in cost estimation of Stock Machining, Casting, Fabrication-Sheet Metal, and Mechanical Assemblies for EMS and Semiconductor Industry.
• Proficient in part localization, Zero-Based Costing, Same/Similar Part Analysis (part commonality), DtC (Design to Cost), and VAVE analysis.
• Collaborates with Material and Commodity Managers to identify high-spend potential projects.
• Knowledgeable in Jigs and Fixtures.
• Performs Part Price Rationalization on various EMS – Mechanical components.
• Conducts Cost Engineering Workshops with different suppliers globally.
• Supports DtC (Entire Product Value Chain) activities, including Cost Modelling, LPP, Price History, Price Benchmarking, Supplier Benchmarking, and Supplier Negotiation.
• Builds a global costing database for Labor, Machines, and Materials.
• Provides technical support to the Global Supply Chain team.

Essential Attributes

• Proficiency in utilizing costing tools such as Excel, aPriori, and Siemens TCPCM.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Basic knowledge of accessing AutoCAD and Creo Direct Modelling.
• Exposure to data analysis using MS Office.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to work with global suppliers across different regions.
• Capable of handling entire Should Cost team activities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering.

Desired Experience Level

Total Experience

• 10–12 years for B.E./B.Tech.
• 12–15 years for Diploma.

Relevant Experience

• 6–8 years.
