Server and Networking Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Server and Networking Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for server installation, configuration, networking, security, data backup, and IT infrastructure management. The role demands hands-on experience with server technologies, virtualization, networking, and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

· Server Administration:

· Installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers

· Active Directory setup and group policy configuration

· Implementation and management of DFS (Distributed File System)

· Managing virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)

· Performing scheduled data backups and restoration procedures

· Implementing and maintaining DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policies

· Managing enterprise-grade antivirus solutions and ensuring endpoint protection

· Handling synchronization tasks for Office 365 and Google Workspace environments

· Backup and Security Solutions:

· Configuration and monitoring of backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Acronis, etc.)

· Managing disaster recovery plans and data recovery operations

· Maintaining compliance with security standards and data protection protocols

· Networking:

· In-depth understanding of OSI Model and network layers

· Configuration of Cisco routers and switches; VLANs, trunking, and routing protocols

· Troubleshooting LAN/WAN connectivity issues

· Passive networking knowledge (racks, cabling, patch panels, etc.)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

· 3+ years of experience in server administration and networking

· Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server environments

· Strong understanding of virtualization platforms

· Good communication and documentation skills

· Certifications like CCNA, MCSA, or VMware are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
