Senior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex financial reports and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including: Month-end and year-end processes Accounts payable/receivable General ledger Bank reconciliations Cash flow management Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and MIS reports Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations (TDS, GST, ITR filing, etc.) Coordinate and complete annual audits and liaise with external auditors Support budget and forecasting activities Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions Provide guidance to junior staff and support their development Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures Assist with tax audits and tax returns Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliations Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and timely closings Requirements:Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Accountant or similar role Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; CA/CPA or equivalent is a plus Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills Excellent organizational and leadership abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other MS Office tools Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
