Sales Engineer

Company Overview:

Kamath Electricals Pvt Ltd is a leading and rapidly growing Solar multi State EPC Vendor in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Company that provides innovative and sustainable energy solutions for residential, commercial and industrial clients.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to drive solar solution sales in ERNAKULAM and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating leads, client consultations, site assessments, proposal development, and deal closure, especially in line with MNRE and government-approved solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

Identify and develop new B2B, B2C, and institutional customers for solar rooftop and EPC projects.

Conduct client meetings, understand energy requirements, and propose suitable solar solutions.

Handle MNRE/Govt-subsidized project sales, tenders, and documentation.

Generate and follow up on leads from marketing activities, cold calls, and site visits.

Arrange and coordinate Campagains in Banks and instructed areas.

Maintain client relationships and ensure satisfaction from inquiry to post-installation support.

Technical Support & Proposal Handling:

Conduct preliminary site assessments and load calculations.

Coordinate with design teams to prepare technical and commercial proposals.

Present technical solutions and cost benefits effectively to decision-makers.

Ensure accurate BOQ (Bill of Quantities), DPR (Detailed Project Report), and offer documentation.

Coordination & Reporting:

Coordinate with project and operations teams for project timelines and delivery.

Maintain CRM or Excel trackers for leads, pipeline, and sales forecasts.

Submit weekly reports and updates to the Manager.

Stay updated on MNRE policies, state DISCOM rules, subsidy norms, and compliance.

Requirements:

Education: B.E./Diploma in Electrical, Electronics,B.Voc in Renewable Energy or Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 5-10 years in solar sales, project sales, or Equalent areas in sales

Languages: Proficiency in Malayalam,Tamil, English (preferred)

Other Skills:

Basic understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, and subsidy mechanisms Preferred

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Willing to travel within all over Kerala

Working knowledge of MS Office,Excel and CRM tools

Preferred

Experience working with MNRE subsidy schemes or KSEB rooftop programs

Knowledge of Soura Scheme, ALMM compliance, and tender processes

Experience in government or institutional solar project sales

Salary: 25k to 35k + Travel Allowance (3 Month probation After confirmation salary on CTC basis)
