Job Title: Sales and Marketing Executive/Manager (Civil & Transportation)

Location:Manglore, Gurpura, Moodbidri

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales and Marketing Executive/Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence within the Civil and Transportation sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and effectively promoting our range of civil engineering products, services, and solutions to government agencies, private developers, contractors, and consultants. This role requires a strong understanding of the civil and transportation infrastructure landscape, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in B2B sales and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Sales:
  • Identify and target prospective clients within the civil and transportation industries ( private road developers, construction companies, consulting firms).
  • Generate new leads through market research, networking, industry events, and cold outreach.
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and tender submissions.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to post-sales follow-up.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurately forecast sales opportunities.
  • Market Research & Strategy:
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands within the civil and transportation sectors.
  • Identify emerging technologies and opportunities for new product/service development.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive sales and marketing strategies.
  • Provide market feedback to product development and engineering teams to ensure offerings align with client needs.0

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • An MBA or a Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in B2B sales and marketing, specifically within the Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, or Transportation sectors. (e.g., 3-7 years for Executive, 7+ years for Manager)
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience working with government tenders and large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, transportation infrastructure components (roads, bridges, railways, airports, smart cities solutions, traffic management systems, urban planning), and relevant industry standards.
  • Sales Prowess: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients at all levels.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify market trends, develop strategic plans, and execute them effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and resourceful in identifying and resolving client challenges.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Karnataka to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly organized, disciplined, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
