Safety Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and national regulations. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards. Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions. Provide training to employees on safety practices, PPE usage, emergency preparedness, and hazard communication. Ensure implementation and monitoring of permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and other safety protocols. Maintain and regularly update safety documentation, including MSDS, job safety analysis (JSA), and safety data sheets. Lead toolbox talks, safety drills (fire, chemical spills), and mock emergency response plans. Liaise with government authorities and external agencies for audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the health and safety systems. Develop and lead a team of safety officers/supervisors across shifts or project sites. Ensure proper signage, safety equipment, and infrastructure are in place and maintained. Key Skills & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001,OSHA, Factories Act, etc.) Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills Good communication and training delivery skills Proficiency in report writing, documentation, and MS Office tools Leadership and team management capabilities Qualifications & Experience: B.E/B.Tech(Mechnical/Civil/Electrical) Diploma in Industrial Safety / NEBOSH / IOSH certification mandatory+ISO 45001, ISO 14001 15 years of experience in Safety Management, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment Hands-on experience in handling regulatory audits and emergency situations Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up to ₹94,000.00 per month Benefits: Provident Fund Schedule: Day shift Morning shift Work Location: In person
