Regional Sales Manager – Agriculture Sector Location:(JHARKHAND/ODISHA/CHHATTISGARH) About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead and drive sales initiatives in the agriculture sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing a team, and fostering strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement region-specific sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Territory Sales Officers (TSOs), and field staff to drive performance and achieve sales objectives. Distributor & Channel Development: Appoint and manage distributors, dealers, and channel partners while ensuring product availability and market coverage. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agri-retailers, and institutional clients. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities. Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to management. Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, R&D, and production teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.Adzuna+1Adzuna+1Adzuna+1Adzuna+1iimjobs.com Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Horticulture, or related fields. 5+ years of experience in agricultural sales, business development, or agri-input sales. Proven track record of managing regional sales operations and achieving targets. Strong leadership, team management, and business negotiation skills. Deep understanding of crop varieties, agronomic practices, and industry trends. Proficiency in CRM tools, sales analytics, and reporting. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region. Preferred Skills: Experience working with hybrid and genetically modified seeds. Strong network of distributors, wholesalers, and agricultural institutions.
