Position Summary:-

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with at least 3 years of experience in civil engineering. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of MEP systems, as this knowledge will be essential for coordinating with various teams on prefabricated building projects.

Key Responsibilities:-

- Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for various civil engineering projects related to prefabricated buildings.

Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and material requirements.

Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring costs remain within the established financial plan.

- Quantity Takeoff:

Measure and calculate quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for construction.

Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) for tendering and procurement purposes.

Ensure accurate quantity takeoffs for prefabricated structures, including foundations, framing, and other essential components.

- Contract Management:

Manage the tendering process by preparing contract documents, including tenders and procurement contracts.

Review and evaluate contractors’ quotations to ensure accurate pricing and alignment with project specifications.

Administer and manage contracts, including handling variations and disputes as necessary.

- Collaboration with MEP Teams:

Coordinate closely with MEP engineers to ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are accounted for during cost estimations and project execution.

Monitor MEP works in terms of quantities and ensure integration with the overall building plan.

- Project Monitoring & Reporting:

Track project progress and adjust cost estimates as necessary based on actual site conditions or changes in design.

Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts to provide updates on project costs, identifying potential risks or overspending.

Attend site visits and meetings to ensure alignment between the project design and actual construction progress.

- Procurement & Vendor Management:

Source and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services required for the project.

Negotiate prices and terms to secure the best value for the company.

Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid project delays.

- Risk Management:

Identify financial risks related to project costs and propose mitigation strategies.

Work closely with project teams to avoid any cost overruns or budgetary issues.

Requirements:-

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

Experience:

- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering projects.

Skills:

- Proficiency in cost estimation and tendering processes.

- Familiarity with quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, specialized quantity surveying software).

- Strong knowledge of MEP systems to effectively coordinate with other engineering teams.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger project team.
