CMM Operator Key Responsibilities: 1. Inspection and Measurement: Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment as per specifications and engineering drawings. Interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and CAD models for measurement requirements. Measure complex geometries to ensure part conformity and precision. 2. Programming and Operation: Create, edit, and troubleshoot CMM programs in Calypso. Operate and maintain CMM equipment for efficient workflow. Conduct first article inspections and generate FAI reports. 3. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze measurement results and document deviations from specified tolerances. Prepare detailed inspection reports and ensure data accuracy. Communicate findings with quality, production, and engineering teams. 4. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular calibration of CMM machines to maintain accuracy. Identify and report equipment malfunctions or issues. Ensure proper care and handling of inspection tools and gauges. 5. Compliance and Safety: Follow safety guidelines while operating machines and equipment. Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent). 6. Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements for inspection procedures. Collaborate with teams to resolve quality-related issues.
