QA Automation Engineer

with over 5 years of experience in automation testing to join our dynamic team in

Hyderabad or Bangalore

. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Selenium with Java, backend validations, and hands-on experience in testing APIs and building automation frameworks using industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Integrate test scripts with BDD frameworks like Cucumber for readable and maintainable tests.
• Perform backend validation using SQL queries and establish JDBC connections for database interaction.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar, validating request/response structures and data.
• Work with JUnit/TestNG for unit and functional testing along with test execution and reporting.
• Manage dependencies and project build using Maven/Gradle.
• Participate in Agile-Scrum development cycles including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Log and track issues/bugs using JIRA, and maintain code in version control systems like Git/GitHub.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and performing backend data validations.
• Knowledge of JDBC for database connectivity.
• Good understanding and practical experience in API testing (Postman or equivalent tools).
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Experience with JUnit/TestNG, Maven/Gradle, and version control tools (Git/GitHub).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and using JIRA for project tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications is a plus.
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline integration is an added advantage.
