Production Line Leader / Production Supervisor

Job Title: Production Line Leader / Production Supervisor Department: Manufacturing / Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Production Manager / Shift In-Charge Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Production Line Leader to oversee production line operations, ensure process efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing manpower utilization, ensuring quality control, managing defects, and developing workforce skills through structured training initiatives. Major Roles & Responsibilities:1. Efficiency Optimization Ensure all team members are present at the beginning of each shift and are adequately allocated. Monitor production lines to maintain maximum efficiency and prevent downtime. Identify process bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to enhance productivity. 2. Quality Control Improve Inline Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and Total Units Pass (TUP) performance metrics. Engage operators and technicians in shop floor quality initiatives. Analyze quality-related issues and implement root cause corrective actions to ensure defect-free production. 3. Defect Management (OS&D)Track and document all line rejections accurately. Investigate rejected parts and develop strategies to minimize future defects. Ensure proper communication and action planning with relevant departments. 4. Training and Skill Development Conduct periodic training programs to promote multiskilling and manage contingency requirements. Onboard and train new hires, ensuring they understand and follow standard procedures. Foster a culture of continuous learning and capability building on the shop floor. Qualifications: Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. Experience: 2–5 years in a production supervisory role, preferably in automotive, electronics, or discrete manufacturing industries. Key Skills: Production planning and line management Problem-solving and root cause analysis Knowledge of lean tools and quality systems (Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, etc.) Team leadership and communication Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems Hands-on experience in OS&D and quality improvement projects Experience with manpower planning and productivity improvement initiatives Why Join Us?
