Procurement Executive

The Backpack Sourcing Executive will oversee the procurement of materials for backpack outsourcing, ensuring RM Availability, quality, and timely delivery. This role involves identifying bottlenecks is Supply Chain for Manufacturers, managing vendor relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to meet production goals. The role requires extensive travel to meet suppliers or visit production facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring smooth availability of RM from suppliers (e.g., fabrics, zippers, hardware) and services required for backpack production.
• Negotiate delivery schedules with vendors to assure timely delivery of Finished Goods to brand.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Design, and Ǫuality Assurance teams to ensure material specifications align with product requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance to optimize sourcing strategies and maintain required Safety stocks at Supplier and vendor ends.
• Manage the end-to-end production process, from Supplier selection to Finished Goods delivery ensuring alignment with the monthly and quarterly sales forecast.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities e.g. vendor wise SKU wise dispatch quantities and values.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing processes and reduce costs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, particularly in the backpack or garment sector, to identify new sourcing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the backpack, garment, or accessories industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
