The French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment (INRAE), in partnership with AgroParisTech and the University of Paris-Saclay, invites applications for a PhD position focused on the design of cross- and multi-species genetic circuits. The successful candidate will join the Micalis unit, a collaborative research environment dedicated to advancing bioengineering solutions for agriculture, food, and environmental challenges.This doctoral project aims to develop innovative tools and strategies to facilitate the implementation of genetic circuits in non-model organisms and multi-species communities. The research will support the rapid deployment of synthetic genetic and metabolic circuits in diverse biotechnology applications.

Requirements

– Master’s degree or Engineering degree in a relevant field
– Experience in experimental synthetic biology, including microbiology and molecular/cell biology techniques– Background in programming, bioinformatics, or computational modelling is an asset– Strong communication skills– Willingness to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team– Recruitment is subject to validation by the Ministry due to the unit’s status as a Restricted Zone
