Operations Manager-New Business Initatives

Company Overview:

Leveza Foods is a fast-growing food brand in India offering frozen and fresh ready-to-cook (RTC), ready-to-eat (RTE), and raw poultry and seafood products. With innovation, quality, and scale at its core, Leveza is expanding into new verticals, categories, and partnerships across retail, HoReCa, and D2C channels.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a driven and execution-focused Operations Manager – New Business to lead the setup, scale, and operational delivery of new business verticals within Leveza Foods. This includes onboarding third-party processors, enabling private label production, piloting new formats (like egg, seafood, RTC), and driving supply chain readiness from day zero.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Setup & Launch:

• Own end-to-end execution of new business pilots including frozen, fresh, or marinated categories.
• Coordinate with production partners,vendors, and internal stakeholders to establish SOPs, SLAs, and onboarding checklists.
• Align cross-functional teams (sourcing, NPD, marketing, compliance) to meet go-live timelines.

Vendor Management & Contract Manufacturing:

• Identify and onboard co-manufacturing and packing partners.
• Ensure partners comply with Leveza’s quality, hygiene, packaging, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor daily output, packing, wastage, and performance against SLAs.

Operations & Process Implementation:

• Set up daily operating rhythms – procurement coordination, production planning, dispatch management, and stock visibility.
• Build workflows and documentation (BOMs, GRNs, QC formats, traceability).
• Coordinate with cold chain logistics, warehousing, and sales teams to ensure market availability.

Cost & Efficiency Optimization:

• Track and control operating costs per SKU, including yield losses, conversion charges, and packaging overheads.
• Evaluate vendor P&L to ensure commercial viability and scalability.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Work with the compliance team to ensure FSSAI, EPR, vendor agreements, and product certifications are in place.
• Maintain audit readiness across new verticals.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Tech, Supply Chain, or Business (MBA preferred).
• 4–7 years of experience in food manufacturing, contract operations, or new product operations in FMCG/F&B.
• Strong knowledge of cold chain logistics, vendor onboarding, and food safety practices.
• Operationally hands-on with excellent project management and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Excel, ERP, and workflow documentation tools.
