About the Role:

OpenStack Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, configure, and maintain OpenStack components including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, and Horizon
Manage and troubleshoot storage systems including Ceph
Automate infrastructure deployment and operations using Ansible, Terraform, and scripting (Bash/Python)
Implement and support high-availability (HA) solutions and disaster recovery (DR) strategies
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning of OpenStack environments
Ensure cloud security, access control (RBAC), and compliance policies are implemented
Collaborate with L3 support and development teams for escalated issues
Document solutions, configurations, and provide knowledge-sharing sessions

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of OpenStack architecture and core components: Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Horizon, Heat
Experience with Ceph storage and its integration with OpenStack
Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
Knowledge of Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
Experience with automation and configuration tools (Ansible, Terraform)
Scripting skills in Bash or Python
Good understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
Exposure to cloud security best practices

Preferred Certifications:

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA)
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
or similar
