PROFILE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Sports Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, sourcing, and executing merchandising strategies for sports-related products, including apparel, footwear, equipment, and accessories. You’ll play a key role in optimizing product visibility, enhancing customer experience, and driving sales across retail stores and/or e-commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop seasonal and promotional merchandising plans for sports products across categories (apparel, footwear, equipment, accessories).
• Analyze sales trends, athlete and team performance cycles, and customer buying behavior to forecast demand and plan inventory.
• Collaborate with brands, vendors, and internal buying teams to select and source high-performing and trending sports merchandise.
• Execute in-store visual merchandising and ensure product presentation aligns with brand standards and sports themes (e.g., seasonal events, major tournaments).
• Monitor inventory levels and product performance, making real-time adjustments to improve stock turnover and minimize markdowns.
• Coordinate with marketing and retail teams to align merchandising with sports events, launches, and promotional campaigns.
• Stay updated on sports trends, athlete endorsements, and competitor merchandising activities.
• Conduct store visits, visual audits, and competitor analysis regularly.
• Manage planograms, product placements, and display execution across locations or digital platforms.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a merchandiser, ideally in the sports, retail, or lifestyle industry.
• Strong knowledge of the sports retail market and current trends in athletics and sportswear.
• Solid understanding of merchandising principles, inventory management, and sales analytics.
• Proficiency in Excel, merchandising software, or retail planning tools.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines around key sports seasons and product drops.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Passion for sports and active lifestyle.
• Knowledge of key sports brands and their merchandising cycles.
• Experience in e-commerce .
