Role Overview:

The Marketing Strategist / Growth Manager will play a crucial role in managing client relationships, developing marketing strategies to achieve client goals, and working with the in-house and external teams to execute these strategies effectively. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on execution, ensuring client objectives are met with excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining and growing long-term relationships.
  • Understand client objectives and work collaboratively with multiple teams to develop and execute tailored marketing strategies.
  • Create monthly plans for the account, decipher client briefs and translate them into strategic plans.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Onboard clients and enable a positive experience for the same. 
  • Build, lead, and manage a team, fostering an environment of creativity, efficiency, and growth. Coach and support them to help them meet departmental goals
  • Participate in strategic planning and execution for clients, ensuring the alignment of marketing initiatives with client goals.
  • Participate in strategy building for new projects.
  • Monitor and report on the success of marketing campaigns and strategies, providing clients with insights and recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually enhance the service offered to clients.
  • Develop a relationship with clients and manage their expectations (Kudos if you can balance the two together!).
  • Upsell! Always be on the lookout to identify opportunities and convert them to grow revenue.
  • Set up internal and external processes for client interactions, briefs, and more to streamline work.
  • Maintain weekly, fortnightly, and monthly reports.


Experience and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Strategist, Account Executive, or Marketing Manager (1-2 years), ideally in a marketing agency, with a history of managing client relationships and spearheading effective marketing campaigns.
  • Solid grasp of marketing strategy, branding, and current digital marketing trends.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, experienced in team building and mentoring.
  • Skilled in creative ideation across various channels, with a history of executing these ideas.
  • Essential ability to craft communication ideas, write content, and develop social media copy and captions.
  • Knowledgeable about social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Competent in balancing client and team expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to nurture significant relationships with clients and team members.
  • Strategic mindset, adept at turning client requirements into tangible strategies.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects at once, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience.


Other Good to have skills and experience

  • If you understand media buying and performance marketing in theory.
  • If you have deployed your understanding to solve problems for a client.
  • If you have been a part of brand campaigns and worked on multiple platforms (size of the brands is not important, the thought process behind the work is).
  • Prior work on brand strategy is great to have.
