Manager Machine Shop

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Salary: ₹55,000 – ₹70,000/month. Experience Required: 17–20 Years in Machining (Die Casting background is a must) Industry: Die Casting / Precision Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent About the Company We are a leading manufacturer in the die casting industry , specializing in high-precision components for automotive and industrial sectors. With a strong emphasis on quality and lean operations, we are seeking a Machine Shop Manager with deep experience in machining operations related to die cast components. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the machine shop Plan and supervise manpower, machine loading, and daily production targets Drive cycle time reduction initiatives and process improvements Implement and maintain IATF 16949 documentation and standards Work with engineering on fixture design and basic jigs/tooling requirements Maintain OEE, quality, and delivery KPIs Coordinate with maintenance for preventive upkeep of machines and tools Train operators and supervisors on machining practices, safety, and documentation Support NPD (New Product Development) trials for machined die cast parts Qualifications Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Production Engineering 17+ years of machining experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Strong die casting background is mandatory Hands-on knowledge of fixture basics , tooling , and process setting Good knowledge of IATF 16949 documentation , audits, and traceability requirements Experience in cycle time analysis , root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone) Familiarity with GD&T, blueprints, and tolerance stack-up Skills & Traits Leadership and team-building skills Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines Good communication (English and Tamil) Salary & Benefits Up to LPA 8.5 (based on experience and performance) Provident Fund Paid leave and statutory benefits Opportunity for long-term growth within the organization Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month Benefits: Cell phone reimbursement Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
