Job Description

Position Overview:

Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance operations across university buildings and facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and civil assets.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repair, installation, and upgradation work.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to utilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules, records, and budget estimations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and energy-saving protocols.
  • Maintain documentation of all maintenance work, reports, and inventory.
  • Support emergency repairs and facility upgrades as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in facility or maintenance engineering (preferably in an institutional or campus setting).
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical panels, HVAC, water systems, etc.).

  • Proficiency in maintenance software/tools and basic MS Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and team leadership abilities.

Remuneration:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience as per university norms.
